As part of the DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION Consultancy team , PMO team delivers business technology solutions in conjunction with our IT partners for several key stakeholder organizations including Sales, Marketing, Partners, Renewals, Operations, Global Support, Finance, Legal, etc. The BTA PMs have the responsibility of executing as the Business PM on projects, partnering closely with the IT PM for successful project delivery.
Projects span across multiple functional domains including CRM, PRM, Pricing, Order Management, Service Renewals, Pricing, Quoting, B2B Transactions (e.g. EDI), Billing & Revenue Recognition, Customer Support, Professional Services, Education, etc.
We are seeking an energetic, versatile Senior Manager to manage PMs, have accountability around planning, execution and risk management of the project portfolio, and deliver project management on large initiatives

Functions

  • Essential Functions (Tasks and Responsibilities):
  • • Stakeholder Management & Business Engagement
  • o Manage stakeholder relationships with senior level business executives across various functions
  • o Interact and partner with business leaders to drive impactful business changes in support of our project success metrics
  • o Collaborate with cross functional business units around project planning, resourcing, and delivery
  • • Team Management & Global Collaboration
  • o Build, manage and inspire a team of very experienced Business Project Managers
  • o Define and manage an effective global team collaboration and delivery model
  • o Interact and partner with BTA leadership team and other functional leaders to ensure successful delivery of projects as well as optimal performance of the team
  • o Collaborate with IT technical teams and/or external consultants to ensure successful delivery of projects
  • • Portfolio Planning & Execution
  • o Manage the alignment and prioritization of initiatives based on business strategy and objectives
  • o Provide leadership in the constructing of project teams, charters, project plans, contingencies, success metrics and ROI measurements
  • o Align programs with other VMware initiatives and manage cross project dependencies
  • o Provide leadership for PMs to manage all phases of program to success, including initiation, planning, definition, design, development, testing and deployment cycles
  • o Provide portfolio level status reporting to BTA leadership and executive audiences
  • • Project Methodology & Portfolio Governance
  • o Establish standards for Portfolio Management (monitoring and governance) including processes, appropriate project controls, methodologies, metrics, reporting, and tools
  • o Foresee, manage, and raise appropriate visibility to risks and issues
  • o Drive resolution of any conflicts and escalate as needed to avoid roadblocks

Requirements

  • • Education
  • o BS/BA degree in Business or Technology fields; MBA or Masters (preferred)
  • o Project Management certification or equivalent
  • • Experience: Reportimg to Project Director
  • o 6+ years leading major programs/projects in a complex, global corporate setting
  • o Strong business domain knowledge in both the front office and back office
  • o Significant experience shaping and enforcing Project Management methodologies
  • o Proven track record managing a large project portfolio and associated risk management
  • o Superior business communications skills (frequent interaction with senior executives)
  • o Demonstrated track record of leading within complex organizations requiring strong influence management skills - ability to work cooperatively at all levels in matrix environment to build and maintain the positive relationships required to accomplish organizational goals
  • • Domain Knowledge
  • o Understanding of Sales Cycles, Sales Models, Sales Tools, Customer Service & Support, end-to-end business processes (front-office and back-office), lifecycles of various enterprise entities (e.g., Customer, Product, Install base, Service Contracts etc.) and implementation of these within CRM and ERP systems
  • o Knowledge of and experience with enterprise systems, including PRM, CRM, SFA, and ERP and strong understanding of enterprise integration
  • o SAP Experience desired and enviroment MICROSFOT
