The Group is looking for a Controller to lead all controlling activities in the Nordic entities (Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway).


  • Reporting directly to the BU Europe Controller, the Controller Nordics will:
  • Lead a team with 5 direct reports and 2 indirect reports (accounting, controlling and IT)
  • Coordinate with the Nordics Project Controller
  • Ensure a strong, disciplined financial infrastructure, including budgeting, reports and financial analysis
  • Manage and continuously improve the quality and consistency of the financial reporting and controls
  • Continuously analyse and evaluate financial and business performance of the organization and of each department
  • Focus on sales, margins, purchasing cost, industrial costs, overhead costs and causes of variances
  • Ensure the efficiency and performance of the finance team in the area through organization design as well as partnership with local managers and the HR function
  • Responsibilities include:
  • Monthly reporting
  • Prepare all monthly reporting deliverables (PreFlash, Flash, Actuals, Industrial Package)
  • Analyze the profitability, costs and causes of financial variances or business wise
  • Analyze the Free Operating cash flow, focusing on working capital and capital expenditures
  • Communicate key findings to both financial community and local management, proposing improvements when needed
  • Quarterly closing
  • Pilot the quarterly consolidation process
  • Handle all reconciliations between reporting and consolidation
  • Ensure accuracy of local and IFRS financial statements
  • Budget and Forecasts
  • Coordinate and animate the budget and quarterly forecasts at local level with the support of segment controllers on sales information
  • Data accuracy
  • Support project controller in his mission to better allocate all costs to projects
  • Ensure clean databases for customer and supplier master datas
  • Handle the process for both external and internal audits, implementing action plans relating to internal control
  • Implement Imerys and Calderys group policies
  • Handle communication with external banks, credit insurance, insurances and tax consultancy, under the guidance of the Imerys Treasury, Tax and Legal departments.
  • IT
  • Manage the IT department, until the re-organisation on European level has been implemented, under the guidance of the Calderys group IT manager
  • Other topics
  • Responsible for the hedging strategy for Nordic legal entities
  • Responsible for the merger process between Calderys Nordic AB and the recently acquired business in Sweden
  • Responsible for Norwegian topics (legal entity and business matters)


  • You have:
  • A Bachelor´s or a Master's degree in accounting or finance.
  • At least 6 years experience in Controlling and/or External Audit, in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in a mutlinational and matrix organization
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (Swedish and IFRS)
  • Knowledge of project accounting is a plus
  • Experience with Excel and ERP systems (SAP is a plus) and general high IT skills
  • Proficiency in systems implementation and possess thorough knowledge of technology advancements
