We are looking for our client , an FMCG company, an HR Manager with strong business acumen to partner closely with senior leaders across Northern Europe. This is not a purely operational HR role: it’s a strategic, hands-on position for someone who enjoys shaping organizations, advising leaders, and translating people strategy into real business impact.
You will operate at the intersection of People, Performance, Culture, and Office Operations, ensuring both employees and leaders have what they need to succeed in a fast-moving, international environment.
Your Mission
As HR Manager Northern Europe, you will act as a trusted advisor to leadership, driving talent, performance, and organizational effectiveness while ensuring a smooth, engaging, and compliant workplace experience. You will also lead and develop a small team, including oversight of Office Management, to guarantee operational excellence alongside people strategy.
Act as a sparring partner to senior leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent risks
Translate global HR strategy into local, business-driven actions
Use data and insights to influence decisions and build high-performing teams
Lead performance management and talent processes across the region
Support managers in developing their teams through coaching, feedback, and training initiatives
Contribute to leadership development and succession planning
Employee Relations & Culture
Guide managers through complex employee relations topics, performance issues, and terminations
Strengthen company culture, engagement, and collaboration
Actively promote DEI&B and employee wellbeing initiatives
Manage and support the Office Assistant and partner closely with the Head of Office
Ensure efficient office operations, facilities, safety standards, and administrative processes
Create a welcoming, productive, and compliant workplace aligned with hybrid work models
Lead and support change initiatives across the region
Identify improvement opportunities through HR and employee experience data
Contribute to broader organizational development projects with Group HR
Ensure compliance with local labor laws, policies, and regulatory requirements
Act as the key point of contact for Health & Safety matters and external stakeholders
Collaborate with Group HR to deliver consistent, high-quality HR solutions
4–5+ years of experience as HR Manager or HR Business Partner, ideally in an international or matrix environment within FMCG industry.
Proven experience advising senior leaders and managing complex people topics
Comfortable leading small teams and overseeing office or administrative functions
Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
Fluent in English and Dutch; German is a plus
Proactive, structured, and business-oriented, with the confidence to challenge and influence
Equally comfortable with strategy and hands-on execution
