A leading renewable energy spanish company is seeking a Director of the German Market. This professional will be instrumental in setting up the company's strategy for the German market, aligning corporate goals with local market realities. The role will ensure efficient connections between the German market and the subsidiary.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to position the company in the German market.
Facilitate information flow between the headquarters and the subsidiary, ensuring smooth and effective communication.
Assist company leaders in understanding and navigating political, regulatory, and cultural differences in Germany.
Build the company's brand and contact network in Germany.
Represent the company in the German market and manage local institutional relationships.
Support the subsidiary's growth by hiring the local team and developing partnerships in the market.
Ensure the subsidiary receives adequate support from the headquarters.
Prepare high-quality, timely reports according to Ibex 35 requirements.
Adapt and expand responsibilities as the company grows in Germany.
Required Experience:
Experience in the energy sector is NOT required.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field from an accredited program.
German national with a native level of German language, or a Spanish national with a fluent level of German and experience working in German-speaking countries.
At least 15 years of experience, including 4 to 5 years in management and leadership roles.
Experience working at an international level, ideally within publicly traded service or industrial organizations with a global presence.
Exposure to entrepreneurial environments with a hands-on approach is beneficial.
Diverse experience, including various aspects of commercial and business development, with financial or representational responsibilities, is a plus.
Previous experience working in Spain and a good command of the Spanish language and culture.
Previous team leadership experience.
Travel will be required.
Experience within the spanish market is a plus.
