FUNKTIONEN

The Construction Manager for the Casablanca Desalination Plant will report directly to the Site Manager and serve as one of the key leaders of the project during the execution phase. This role entails full responsibility for overseeing all engineering teams (civil, electrical, etc.), managing external technical suppliers, and coordinating with teams responsible for client relations. Additionally, the Construction Manager will be accountable for project planning, operational control, financial oversight, quality assurance, and the management of all personnel involved. Ensuring seamless coordination across these areas is essential to the successful delivery of the project. Quality, Environmental and Safety: - Ensure the integration, compliance, and promotion of quality, environmental, and safety standards across all project phases, leading with commitment and ensuring resources, plans, and corrective actions are in place to meet legislative, contractual, and performance requirements. Planning and Operations: - Oversee and drive the implementation of management systems, project programs, and operational plans, ensuring adherence to standards, effective coordination, timely decision-making, and the achievement of project objectives through proactive monitoring, communication, and team development. Resourcing, Scheduling and Reporting - Oversee resource coordination, scheduling, and reporting to ensure contract requirements are met, project progress is maintained, issues are resolved, and status updates and change orders are effectively managed while fostering teamwork and organizational alignment. Financial - Ensure project profitability by managing budgets, monitoring financial performance, aligning teams to cost objectives, optimizing strategies for profit maximization, and ensuring contractual compliance and effective subcontractor management. Design Management - Manage project design development and program, ensuring consultant performance aligns with time and quality objectives, while fostering effective communication and coordination within the design team to meet constructability requirements. Communications - Delegate responsibilities effectively, provide ongoing support and feedback to staff, manage client relationships to enhance satisfaction, and ensure clear communication regarding project progress and client expectations. Must haves - Preferable 10 years’ experience in a construction/engineering environment. - Upper Intermediate Level of English is mandatory. - Working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same. - Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Package. - Clear communication – verbal and written - High attention to detail - Presented problem solving / analytical skills. - Demonstrated relevant leadership skills Nice to haves - High Level of French and Spanish will be desirable.
