FUNCTIONS

MECHANICAL ENGINEER TEAM LEADER Summary: Reporting to the Global Mechanical Engineering Manager. Responsible to lead a team of Mechanicals Engineers, making robust designs according to timing, budget and quality of commercial and functional specifications. Mechanical Engineer or any related engineering disciplines 5 years of experience in leadership positions, experience with assembly lines and testing equipment International exposure across the five continents Knowledge of computer financial applications and ERP systems. Requirements: Mechanical manufacturing processes (Mechanization, surface finishes, treatment and finishes). Extensive knowledge of 3D CAD software, preferably Solid Edge Technical documentation (drawings, specifications, etc.) Expertise in design for manufacturing technologies, tolerancing analysis, FMEA and quality assurance Hands-on experience in rapid prototyping & finite element analysis method Strong knowledge of project management and engineering techniques Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge of Machine Directive, Pneumatic or Hydraulic components, EPLAN and ACAD systems Fully fluent in English, written and spoken Full availability to travel Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate and supervise the design of mechanical parts. Develop drawings and details of complex designs. Ensure zero deviation according to cost and timing of mechanical design. Collaborate closely with Team Leaders of the other departments and Project Management, in order to align with project objectives. Ensure the correct selection of the elements for the purchase of mechanical components. Carry out designs especially at a conceptual level Ensure how to standardize designs Ensure that all required procedures and standards are implemented and respected. Perform SAT of machines if needed. Collaborate in the development and preparation of commercial offers. Establish effective communication protocols. Verify the design calculations of other engineers within the Mechanical Engineering team. Know and apply safety specifications. Elaborate accurate technical specifications in coordination with the customer and the project team. Creation of a library of standard groups and components Ensure Machine Manuals and technical reports are developed accurately. Prepare clear and updated and on-time documentation for Purchasing / Assembly areas. Establish weekly reviews with Team Leaders to take corrective actions.
