FUNCTIES

We currently on the market looking for a proactive and flexible German Speaking Management Accountant to join the Finance department with a proven track records of having worked in Germany to support the organic growth of the firm. This new position will report to the Finance Controller and is part of a team who is working on their portfolio of other brands. The management accountant will interact closely with various departments across the company, especially with the Ops team in the UK. Key Responsibilities • Month end / Year end o Oversight of the general ledger / German and UK GAAP. o Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journals o Intercompany reconciliations o Month-end reporting package and budget processes o Assist with Audit requests • Taxes o Experience of German VAT and EU VAT o Tax compliance o Coordination with our tax experts in our countries of operation • Inventory and production, in collaboration with the cost controller o Inventory reconciliation o COGS analysis o Gross Margin analysis by customer • Bank o weekly cash flow reports o Review and Submission of payments run • Receivables o Ensure all customers are invoiced in due time o Cash collection • Payables o Review of A/P invoices booked in the system (GL, coding, analytics,,…) o Validation of raised POs (fixed assets, from an accounting perspective) • Fixed assets o Fixed asset management (FA register, capitalization, depreciation,…) • Others o Other ad hoc duties Must Have: • Part qualified with experience, strong management, and financial accounting knowledge • Attention to details • Experience and flexibility to work with time zone difference (UK/USA/Europe) • Highly proficient at accounts preparation and financial analysis to get things right first time with attention to detail • German Speaking and Experienced in dealing with tax and VAT queries • Confident IT user – Strong Excel skills • Experience in a SME and international business • Experience with Microsoft Business Central Dynamics • Multitasking and open to additional responsibilities • Proactivity and problem-solving attitude • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and exercise judgment • Respect of strict deadlines and processes • Ability to maintain confidentiality. • Paperless organization Additional desired: • Good communication skills • Luxury sector and/or production experience is a plus
