FONCTIONS
Our client, an international leading company in the development & manufacture of automation and machinery control, is looking for an Application Engineer (m/f/d) in the Czech Republic who will play a key role in driving the company’s growth and success in the region.
Your responsibilities:
* Commissioning & Support: Work closely with OEMs, machine tool companies and distributors to commission machines, set up and configure products and equipment, and integrate productivity systems (MT Connect), software/hardware solutions.
* Technical Consulting: Provide expert guidance on CNC control systems, PLC programming, and HMI solutions, as well as direct metering systems, motors, drives, and other related automation technologies.
* Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues (on-site, phone, email).
* Training & Demonstrations: Conduct customer training sessions and assist dealers with product presentations.
* Documentation & Localization: Provide and overview technical documentation, manuals, and HMI translations in the Czech language.
* Service & Issue Management: Manage parts inventory for repairs, prepare service reports, and escalate unresolved issues for timely resolution.
* Travel & Field Service: Visiting customers mainly across the Czech Republic, and partly Slovakia, with occasional trips to Spain (maybe twice a year)
Your profile:
* Experienced PLC Programmer: Ideally at least 3 years of experience in automation, machine tool commissioning, or technical service.
* Education & Expertise: Background in mechanical/electrical engineering, mechatronics, or automation.
* Field Service Know-How: Hands-on experience in machine tools, industrial automation, and interpreting block diagrams.
* Problem-Solver & Communicator: Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
* Language Skills: Czech (fluent, must-have), English (B1-B2, must-have), Spanish (nice-to-have).
* Mobility & Flexibility: Willingness to travel (company car provided).
* Driver’s License: Group B license required.
* Nice to have: Professional competence according to Government Regulation 194/2022 Coll. (formerly Decree 50/78 Coll.).
