The International Business Development Manager will play a key role in the global expansion strategy. This person will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new markets and commercial partnerships focusing on distributors, modern trade (retail chains), and importers. The ideal candidate will be a commercially driven professional with experience in international sales, business development, brand building, and channel development within Consumer Goods.
As key responsibilities we can highlight the following:
- Identify and prioritize target markets and potential partners in international markets, developing an actionable go-to plan.
- Lead full-cycle business development: prospecting, outreach, negotiation, and closing of new commercial agreements.
- Identify and target potential distributors, importers, and modern trade retailers, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and capabilities for the different markets.
- Establish initial commercial relationships, set up pilot programs, and drive first sales to validate market potential.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to tailor the portfolio and communication strategy to local consumer preferences.
- Build strong commercial pipelines and analyze market trends and competitors.
- Represent the company at international trade fairs, buyer meetings, and networking events.
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and pricing strategies to adjust the business approach.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or International Trade.
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in international sales, export, or business development, ideally within FMCG.
Proven business development profile with a strong track record in prospecting, opening new markets, and closing deals internationally.
Experience managing distributors and B2B retail accounts.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
Strong entrepreneurial spirit, autonomy, and ability to work in fast-changing environments.
Fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages will be a plus.
Based in Spain with full availability to travel internationally.
