Our client is seeking a dynamic Key Account Manager for Portugal. This is a full-time, remote position initially, with strategic plans for establishing a local office in Lisbon in the near future, offering an exciting blend of flexibility and future stability.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director for Iberia, this created role offers substantial autonomy and the unique opportunity to manage a local business.
You will be instrumental in developing and executing the company's commercial strategy in Portugal, focusing on key retail clients. This role demands a proactive individual who can drive market growth, make strategic decisions, and significantly expand the brand presence. Responsibilities:
- Analyze market information to identify new opportunities with clients, contributing directly to company growth and making strategic recommendations to boost business.
- Negotiate and develop relationships with both potential and existing clients, with a strong focus on profitability and efficiency.
- Negotiate commercial terms and agreements, continuously analyzing growth opportunities within current and new clients, and actively participating in the end-to-end sales process.
- Prioritize and lead the implementation of the company's value proposition within the assigned region, collaborating closely with the Country Manager to develop and execute the overall commercial strategy.
- Act as a key liaison with various internal stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Finance, R&D), ensuring all initiatives are fully aligned with the overarching company objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a similar field.
- Approximately 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar Key Account Management role, with a strong focus on managing retail accounts.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
- Desirable: Fluent in Spanish, written and spoken.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex market data and identify actionable opportunities.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Demonstrated capability in business development, including identifying and closing deals.
- Creativity in approaching market challenges and developing innovative solutions.
- High degree of resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced and evolving market environment.
- Availability to travel frequently within Portugal and potentially internationally as required.
