FUNCIONES
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Modelling and Forecasting:
o Build, maintain, optimize, and manage complex financial models to provide forecasts and scenario analyses.
o Develop new transaction models and enhance existing models quarterly, incorporating changes in power curves, contracts, OPEX, CAPEX, PPA structures, project finance arrangements, schedules, and risks.
o Model tax and revenue structures in line with advice from tax and revenue advisors, including compliance with corporate PPAs and electricity market rules.
2. Transaction Management and Risk Assessment:
o Manage structured finance transactions for renewable energy projects, including project finance, shareholder loans, and equity needs, ensuring alignment with contracts and regulatory advice.
o Monitor closed transactions and ensure compliance with covenants, guidelines, and reporting requirements.
o Identify key financial and non-financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
3. Data Analysis and Reporting:
o Analyze and identify data requirements, derivation rules, and model tracking needs.
o Prepare forecasts and recommend improvements to budgeting processes.
o Support internal approvals processes by delivering clear and concise documentation to committees.
4. Cross-Team Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
o Work collaboratively with valuation, investment, and asset management teams to align assumptions and identify risks and opportunities.
o Build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, including legal and technical teams.
5. Leadership and Compliance:
o Provide leadership and support to the line manager.
o Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and agreed covenants.
Requirements and Desired Competencies
1. Educational Background:
o Degree in Economics, Administration, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering.
o An MBA is a plus.
2. Experience:
o At least 4 years of relevant work experience, ideally in a Big 4 firm, investment fund, or bank.
o Familiarity with structured finance in renewable energy projects is highly desirable.
3. Technical Skills:
o Advanced financial modelling expertise, preferably with F1F9 models.
o Strong computer literacy, including advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
4. Key Competencies:
o Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
o High resilience and adaptability, with the ability to handle multiple projects in parallel.
o A data-driven problem-solving mindset.
5. Language Skills:
o Fluent in English; Spanish is required. Additional European languages are a plus.
6. Other Requirements:
o Genuine interest in renewable energy and a strong understanding of the power industry.
