FUNCIONES
This position is responsible for the day to day finance functions incl. bank operations, while also taking certain (basic) responsibility for legal, human resource and insurance related matters. It will also liaise closely with the Compliance manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial and operational monthly reporting, including the responsibility for month end consolidated income statement, balance sheet and cash flow reporting and variance analysis. HQ is in UK with subsidiaries in Spain and Australia; soon also a branch in UAE (Dubai). Currently all run on different systems and are consolidated in Excel. Potentially move to one single platform in 2H 2025 or 1H 2026 latest.
- Cash operations.
- In cooperation with financial planning manager (to be hired):
monthly and quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting and planning processes
monthly cash flow forecast for next 12 months
- Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
- Evaluate financial performance against budgets / forecasts.
- Responsibility for annual audit.
- Any office related matters (no office in Spain), for the time being only in Australia and Dubai.
- Develop and implement cross functional control processes and procedures across the organisation.
- Although the final responsibility is with the CEO/CFO:
review of any contract entered into by the company in coordination with legal counsel.
review over all HR related matters for both employees and consulting staff in all countries (14 currently!).
responsibility for Insurance.
- Constant review and evaluation of risk and compliance together with the compliance manager and DPO
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
+ 7-8 years finance experience, preferably in software industry or related field.
- Experience in fast growth start-up/scale-up companies is a plus.
- Native or bilingual English level; other languages will be a plus.
- Experience with financial systems and other software commonly used in the industry + outstanding Excel and reporting
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to contribute to the company's overall business strategy.
- Integrity and ethical behaviour in handling financial matters and at the strong problem-solving skills, critical and “commercial” thinking.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work well under high pressure and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability to change and learn new skills.
